Key Responsibilities:
– Ensure all necessary food ingredients and café items are purchased and/or ordered on a weekly/monthly basis.
– Manage the inventory, keeping track of what’s in stock and what needs to be replenished.
– Oversee the shopping or ordering process, ensuring timely restocking while keeping within budget.
– Maintain kitchen equipment, arranging for repairs or replacements when needed.
– Work with volunteers to ensure the kitchen is organised and ready for service.
Skills & Qualities:
– Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail.
– Ability to manage inventory and anticipate future needs.
– Basic understanding of kitchen equipment and appliances.
– Good communication and teamwork abilities.
