We’re excited to announce a stunning new art exhibit now on display in our Clubhouse! Created by the talented students of ISH, this collection highlights their incredible creativity and artistry.
Collagraph Portraits: Prints and Plates
Welcome to Collagraph Portraits: Prints and Plates, a vibrant exploration of texture, materiality, and the artistry of printmaking. In this exhibition, students proudly present both the collagraph plates they have intricately collaged and the resulting prints, showcasing the duality of their creative process.
This collection, created as part of the Printmaking Explorers Club, embodies the club’s ethos of experimentation and innovation. Members are encouraged to embrace risk-taking and exploration through unconventional materials such as leaves, tissue paper, and textured fabrics, resulting in truly unique compositions. Each plate serves as a standalone artwork, rich in surface and detail, while the prints transform these collages into fresh interpretations, highlighting the magic of printmaking.
The works reflect the club’s mission to foster personal expression and artistic curiosity. These “exploratory collagraphs” invite you to consider how materials shape meaning and how repetition and variation in prints deepen our appreciation of artistic intent.
Whether you are drawn to the tactile qualities of the plates or the vibrant, layered textures of the prints, this exhibition celebrates the transformative power of creativity, curiosity, and the unpredictable beauty of the process.
We’re so proud of our ongoing relationship with the ISH Arts Department and are thrilled to showcase the work of these young artists. Make sure to stop by and enjoy this inspiring display!
