SUMMARY:PEP Talk : The Importance of Play
DESCRIPTION:Play is crucial for children to grow\, learn and develop in a healthy manner. Play is so important to optimal child development that it has been recognised by the United Nations High Commission for Human Rights as a right of every child. This talk will focus on how important play is to our children’s development and growth. \nSign up below and join us for this fun and interactive talk\, on Tuesday March 19th at 9:00 with renowned Child Psychologist Stephanie Baumgarten-Kustner. \n\n\n  \n\n	Notice: JavaScript is required for this content.\nNo Fields Found.\n\n \n\n\n \n \n \n  \nAbout the Speaker \nStephanie Baumgarten-Kustner studied at the University of Oregon\, London University and University of Leiden where she obtained her doctorandus in Clinical Psychology. She has worked with children/adolescents in clinical day-treatment as well as out-patient both in the USA and here in the Netherlands. In addition\, she has worked in the Dutch special educational system and international education here in the Netherlands. \nAlongside her clinical work\, she also lectures undergraduate and graduate psychology students – with a focus on developmental psychology and psychopathology — as well as mentoring psychology interns and thesis supervision.  Recently she has started a private practice Baumgarten Child Psychology and More incorporating all of her experience in one place.
