SUMMARY:PEP Talk : Parenting Styles
DESCRIPTION:Parent Educational Presentation “Parenting Styles”: on Tuesday November 21st at 9:00am with renowned Child Psychologist Stephanie Baumgarten-Kustner. \nWe all have our own unique way of parenting. However\, research has shown that there are some very specific “Parenting Styles” which we all use at some point in time. \nDuring this second PEP talk in our Parent Educational Series\, we will review these different styles of parenting and look at the impact they have on children and teens. We will also look at what research has shown on what impact the parenting styles of our parents has had on us as adults\, and could have on our children. \nJoin us for coffee and some cake for our second topic “Parenting Styles” on Tuesday\, November 21st at 9.00 am. \n  \nAbout the Speaker \nStephanie Baumgarten-Kustner studied at the University of Oregon\, London University and University of Leiden where she obtained her doctorandus in Clinical Psychology. She has worked with children/adolescents in clinical day-treatment as well as out-patient both in the USA and here in the Netherlands. In addition\, she has worked in the Dutch special educational system and international education here in the Netherlands. \nAlongside her clinical work\, she also lectures undergraduate and graduate psychology students – with a focus on developmental psychology and psychopathology — as well as mentoring psychology interns and thesis supervision.  Recently she has started a private practice Baumgarten Child Psychology and More incorporating all of her experience in one place.
